About Us

My mission is to provide a secure, happy, and enriching environment for kids at Golden Step. Our Facility is in a very good location with a safe environment. We are close to Concord Community Park and Bart Station. Our Programs incorporate a unique education and play-based curriculum is designed and inspired by a variety of teaching methods and philosophies such as Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia. Our Preschool / Childcare environment presents maximum opportunities for cognitive development, discovery learning, and an awareness of cultural diversity. Our Facility offers the best care and learning environment for their overall development. Children will participate in enrichment activities, such as free play, outdoor, indoor play area, Kid's yoga, Gardening, Arts, crafts, Circle Time, Music, dance, Math, and Science. Our facility serves daily fresh organic homemade meals and snacks that are approved by the Contra Costa Child Care Food Program to ensure your child will get the proper nutrition his/her growing body needs. Golden Step has a very happy family-style vibe. The children are sweet and welcoming and the families are kind and supportive.

At Golden Step, teachers work individually with each infant to accommodate their physical, cognitive, and social stages of development. Throughout the day, our teachers have planned activities to interact with the babies to aid in their cognitive and personal development skills, and work toward achieving each infant's individual goals. Over time, the schedule is modified as each infant’s development progresses, and as parents provide input on desired objectives they may have for their little one.

Our preschool program are designed to develop social skills and to promote learning about the surrounding environment. There are a variety of learning centers where children choose to play in the area that best suits their interests and learning style. We encourage children to develop their language skills through communication and also by other fun activities such as arts and crafts, yoga exercise, language, dramatic play, building blocks, library, and music. We also introduce children to letters, numbers, art, science, experiments, reading, sing-along songs, activities, games, puppet shows, conversations, teaching them letters of the alphabet, writing their names, word recognition, and math skills as well. Every month we have a developmentally curriculum themes. Each of them are designed to encourage children to develop their imagination, curiosity, explore, and hands-on learning activities. At Golden Step preschool program, we will help your children to continue to grow and develop as they head toward kindergarten.
